Nzebi afro-fusion
An artist so close
with music from far away
An artist so close, with music from far away.
She writes from the songs and rhythms she grew up with in her village of Mbigou, deep in the equatorial forest of Gabon. Rich and teeming, her music draws its substance from the traditional repertoire of the Nzebi people, a Bantu people of Central Africa from whom she took her stage name.
A contemporary African singer, Tita sets that inherited tradition inside a modern artistic frame.
